Volunteers

The LoboTriathlon is looking for volunteers for races on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. Kids 15 and under race on Saturday, while the adults race on Sunday.

These events are produced by the UNM Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences (HESS) Department of UNM. This is an opportunity to showcase the UNM facilities to the general public through a fun event that promotes healthy activities and lifestyles. Proceeds from the event benefit the HESS Summer Youth Sports Program giving all children equal access to fun and health activities, and to fund travel to professional conferences for HESS graduate students.

Volunteers are needed around the event to help mark the courses for athletes, and make them aware of any approaching hazards (driveways, pedestrians, etc.). Volunteers are asked to cheer and support the athletes, and notify race officials of any incidents. Volunteers may also assist with race production.

Please note that the roads around UNM will be closed at 6 am on Sunday, April 28. Everyone coming in by vehicle must be in a parking lot by that time (even if the shift is starting later).
